As a Registered Assistant, I handle the behind-the-scenes operations that keep the office running smoothly, including administration, customer service, and office finances. I've helped Terry intermittently since 2004 and became registered in 2015 with my Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
My professional background is in healthcare. I'm a Physician Assistant who has worked in the medical field since 1997, earning my PA-C designation that same year. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and completed my physician assistant training at the Medical University of South Carolina. I haven't worked with any other financial firms. My path here began when I needed a break from medicine and Terry needed an assistant. The arrangement works well because I can contribute meaningfully without working full-time.
My healthcare experience proves particularly useful when clients have questions about Social Security, Medicare, and health insurance. Those topics often confuse people, and I enjoy helping them understand their options and make informed decisions.
I was born and raised in Tonawanda, New York. My family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, when I was a junior in high school. Terry and I now live in Mills River, North Carolina, with our three children, Morgan, Signe, and Rion.
Currently, I'm in what I call my perimenopausal rage gardening phase. Working in the yard and garden brings me genuine satisfaction. I also enjoy hiking and watching movies. When it comes to sports, I was a walk-on at UNCW and swam all four years, so I'll watch any swimming if it's on TV. I am also a proud member of Bills Mafia.
